| Ochado and Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee-Food Review
Hello wonderful readers, As promised, review on Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee. Went today instead of Friday. Supposed to go on Friday but being so careless that i forgot to switch of my headlights and end up the car battery went flat. I have to wait till Saturday to get it fix. And, i was really busy on Saturday. Went Cheras and came back at 3.30pm. Pan mee or in mandarin "ban mian", 板麺 is a Hokkein-style noodle, originating from Malaysia. Its Chinese name literally translates to "flat flour noodle". It is part of Malaysian Chinese cuisine. Traditionally it is served with clear soup with fried anchovies, mushroom, minced meat (pork) and sweet potato leaves. Sometimes they served in dark soy sauce which is dried pan mee. And today, the food review is on Chilli Pan Mee. Dry chilli pan mee is also becoming popular, especially in the Klang Valley. This dry noodle is served with minced pork, fried onions, anchovies, and topped with a poached egg which is stirred into the noodles and the most important part of the dish is the dry chilli mix (or sambal) which is served with it. Those with a strong tolerance for chillies often add several spoonfuls of the chilli to the noodles, though most are content with one spoon of the fiery chilli. Featured restaurant: Super Kitchen 43, Jalan Radin Bagus, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 Kuala Lumpur The list of their other outlets throughout Klang Valley and if you noticed there are 7 outlets included their head quarter or their main outlet. The ambience of the restaurant. It is comfortable to sit there all day long. There is Wi-fi connection in the restaurant. You can serve on the net while you are having the scrumptious chilli pan mee which is their famous and most recommended pan mee in the menu. Looking at their ambience you might think they will charge you service tax or charge you about RM15 per bowl of pan mee, you are absolutely wrong. Their price is reasonable. A bowl of Chilli Pan Mee cost only RM6. Cheap right? And the portion is kinda big. Tempting right? The most important part is their fiery hot dry chilli/sambal. One teaspoon is more than enough to make your eyes watery. But, if you have a high tolerance on fiery hot chilli, add a few spoonfulsIt came with a small bowl of sweet potato leaves soup. Afraid that your noodle is too dry, you can always add the soup into your noodle. After you have mixed and stirred all the ingredients. Eat while it is hot. Not that nice if you eat when it is cold. The next stop is Ochado. It is situated next to 7-11. From Super Kitchen you have to walk about 20 over shop lots to reach Ochado. While walking you will come across various dessert shops. From Tutti Fruitti to Chatime to Black Ball Taiwanese dessert and etc. Featured cafe: Ochado 108, Jalan Radin Bagus, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 Kuala Lumpur Recommended beverage: Pop Eggs Milk Tea. Instead of black pearls, it comes with pop eggs which contain sweetened coffee liquid which literally pop inside your mouth when consumed. Coffee with milk tea is the best combination. This is my all time favourite beverage from Ochado. And it is one of their best seller. It cost RM5.90 for medium and RM6.90 for large. I ordered their Mango Mille Crepe. It is my first time eating Mille Crepe. But i think the best Mille Crepe is in Nadeje Malacca. Will make a review on it when I am down in Malacca. I cant say this is the best but it is good for an afternoon tea time. It cost RM11.90/slice. Mille Crepe is a French cake made of many crepe layers. The word Mille means " a thousand", implying the many layers of the crepe. And last but not least, i saw this heart shape traffic light along Bukit Jalil towards Sri Petaling. Was amused but after i told my aunt, she said it is done by some college student to show his love towards his girlfriend. So sweet right. :) She said i was being fooled because i thought it is actually being done by the authorities. The student cuts the black sugar paper into a love shape and paste it there. Well, he is creative. Labels: Beverage, Food, Life, Review |
